It is recommended to have your first visit between the ages of 13 and 15, or earlier if you have symptoms like painful or irregular periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain or other reproductive health concerns. Regular visits are also important for women throughout adulthood—whether for annual check-ups, pre-pregnancy planning, or as advised by a primary care doctor.
